Reverse your filter criteria to select links with numbers less than six by changing the operation or using the complement option; preview confirms the revised selection.
Save and reuse filters in PTV Visum Essentials by using save as new filter files or the filter window, then reopen them from the filters folder or open file.
Explore spatial selection to activate specific network objects by selecting nodes and links with checkboxes, the cloud icon, and area-based selection, noting zones remain passive.
You can find all the files relating to Section 5 here.
Create and rename class limit columns, define upper bounds with inclusive/exclusive rules, and shift to a ten-unit increment pattern for successive classes in Vism.
Edit and organize map layers in a classified display by adjusting legend names, layer numbers, and line styles, add layers, set colors and widths, and preview changes.
Configure classify displays for nodes and zones in PTV Visum, using control type attribute for nodes and a text zone type to distinguish city center from non city center zones.

Display turn volumes as bars across the network by enabling the graphics layer and selecting turn volumes, and export these turn bar images for reports.
Use the procedure sequence window to create and execute steps: reset filters, read filter file, set free-flow speed to 60 km/h, delete results, run traffic assignment, and save villages results.
Learn to manage procedures with toolbar icons, set all active or inactive, define next procedures, run single or multiple steps, save and load steps from XML to improve efficiency.
Learn how to use the multi edit feature in Vism to modify capacities of network objects in bulk, using constant, factor, attribute, formula, and round tools.
Explore how intersect links two spatially overlapping network objects in Visum, enabling attribute transfer from source to target; use buffers to create two-dimensional overlap without changing actual shapes.
Copy the source zone number to the link’s zone number using intersect in Visum, via multi edit, with zone as the source attribute and zone number as the target attribute.
Learn to count links inside a zone in Visum using intersect: set target zone, source links, choose count in a procedure, and verify four links in the network editor.
